She does this every day for many, many days.

When she labels her thoughts, she doesn't get caught up in her thoughts. She does this every day for several months. She does this every day for a year. For a long time, it all seems so mechanical. Her mind wanders constantly. There doesn't seem to be any improvement.

She does not give up. She meditates every day. She does this every day for many, many days.

She realizes that, during the course of her daily work-a-day routine, she has begun to notice her thoughts instead of getting caught up in them, and it helps her cope with many varieties of mundane bullshit.
